The VERY Little Mermaid! Denise Welch displays her slim figure in a skimpy top and tail for sexy shoot

Could Denise Welch be taking a leap straight from Loose Women into the sea? 
The 55-year-old spent so much time poolside on a recent sunshine break that it looks like she may have turned into a real-life mermaid.
Denise delighted fans on Thursday when she tweeted a humorous picture of herself wearing a mermaid's tail as she posed for underwater and fashion photographer Catherine Laura.
The actress captioned the shot: 'Well Ive done so much 'pool fun' look what's happened!!!!'

Denise also managed to show off her slim figure in the fishy outfit, as she teamed the 'tail' with a skimpy vest top.

She lost two stone through the LighterLife diet for her wedding in July and has successfully kept the weight off - recently admitting that one of her biggest achievements in life has been shedding the pounds.
Since her nuptials, Denise has been carrying on with her LighterLife management group, which she says has been 'invaluable' in her efforts to keep the weight off.

 

She added: 'I achieved so much in the two months it took to lose the weight, so I’m not going to throw away how good I feel.'
Denise is now looking and feeling great, and is ready to start a new chapter in her life.
Having quit Loose Women after a decade on the panel of the daytime show Denise wrote in her Manchester Evening News column: 'I had to leave to be true to myself'.
Changes to the show introduced by new ITV Daytime boss Helen Warner are thought to be the main reason behind her shock departure.
Denise told the Sunday Mirror: 'Yes, I've quit. I was hurt that the changes were made and kept a secret, and that the person responsible for the decisions hadn't come and talked to me about it.
'Every show needs a shake-up. But the way the show's going, I've felt that my wings have been clipped. I feel the way the show is going is losing the fun of it.'
An ITV source confirmed that Denise would be leaving the show. Carol McGiffin announced her decision to leave the show after appearing on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year.
Denise joined the Loose Women panel in 2002, and has appeared on an incredible 533 episodes.
The TV presenter is yet to announce what will come next in her career that's already spanned three decades and roles in Coronation Street and Waterloo Road.
